Not only is Oprah donating 10 million dollars of her own money to the victims of Katrina, she has set up her Angel Network to act like a gift registry. Instead of just donating money and not knowing where the funds are going, you can actually purchase items within the house that people need.

Just brilliant.

Couldn't the government with all the manpower they have come up with something as simple but as ingenious as that? Probably not. Too busy fighting the war in Iraq.
